Sixteen years in Management Consulting primarily in the construction sector Sean has a long history of putting in place practices and behaviours that are sustainable and continue to deliver benefit for his clients.His advice and expertise has been instrumental in helping clients achieve 'Finalist' status at the 2017 Constructing Excellence Awards (London & South East) – Innovation Category as well as being 'Highly Commended' for the 'Performance Improvement in the Private Sector' category at the prestigious 2018 Management Consultancies Association Awards.
Andrew is Delivery Lead at The Opex Academy.
He is an experienced Senior Continuous Improvement Management Consultant as well as being a Certified Master Black Belt (MBB) and Lean Coach. With over 24 years of experience delivering business transformation programs in large, multinational organisations he is an expert in enhancing business performance through Systems Thinking, Lean Six Sigma and Psychology of Change tools applied to end-to-end business functions. His speciality lies in facilitating change through a combination of Consulting, Mentoring, Coaching and Training. Andrew has been a guest lecturer on Lean for 10 years at Buckingham, Warwick, Strathclyde and Derby MSc programmes.
John is Curriculum Lead at The Opex Academy.
He has a wealth of industry experience having worked in Engineering Manufacturing and the Voluntary Sector for many years. He has a Post Grad in both Systems, IT and Management. John has worked in Education and Training for over 20 years as a programme manager and lecturer working for FE Colleges and Universities. He has excellent knowledge and skills in delivering a wide range of Business and Management qualifications including Business Degrees, ILM and CMI. He also has knowledge of delivering the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour elements of the Apprenticeship Standards.
Lucy is Finance and Funding Lead at the Opex Academy.
With over 3 years experience of working in the Education and Training sectors, Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge to help advise and steer customers through the complex Government funding rules. Lucy graduated Chester University with a BSc in Mathematics (with Hons).
Anthony is Quality Lead at the Opex Academy.
He has over 20 years experience as a leader in education with a wealth of experience in managing and leading people through sustainable change. He has held positions as a senior leader, Director of Learning and Quality and is an associate ‘End Point Assessor’ and Examiner. Anthony has experience of working with employers to make best use of the Apprenticeship Levy. He gained an MSc from the University of Birmingham, a PGCE from the University of Warwick and a BA(hons) from the University of Wales.
Teresa is Delivery Coach at The Opex Academy (Levels 3 & 4).
She is a sessioned Lean and Six Sigma expert, a Chartered MCIPD HR, L&D and Change Professional who has first class experience and proven ability in coaching, training and developing students. From designing and planning improvement strategies for Strathclyde University to leading international Operational Excellence L&D programmes for major UK consultancies, Teresa brings an exciting blend of experience and expertise to the Opex coaching team.
Paul is Associate Coach at The Opex Academy (Levels 5 & 6).
He is one of the UK's most capable operational excellence coaches with over 20 years experience in applying Lean principles across a broad range of organisations including Accenture, IBM and Amazon Europe. An expert in Lean transformation, Paul was initially trained by Motorola through it's Six Sigma Black Belt Programme so he knows what it feels like to be on the 'Lean Learning Curve'. He has a wealth of experience helping students get to grips with every aspect of Lean methodology.
